Warrant of Fitness (WoF) Inspections
A Warrant of Fitness is a mandatory safety check to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe for everyone. As an authorised WoF agent, our inspections strictly follow the NZTA vehicle inspection manual.
  • Pricing: $80 (inclusive of GST). (Modified vehicles requiring low volume certification incur an additional $15 charge due to the extra time needed to verify modifications).
  • Vehicles We Inspect: Cars, trailers, and caravans.
  • What We Check: Our comprehensive safety inspections include, but are not limited to, checking tyres and wheels, braking systems, structural rust or damage, lights, safety belts, airbags, steering, suspension, exhaust, and fuel systems.
  • What If Your Vehicle Fails? If your vehicle doesn’t pass, we provide a clear list of required repairs. Complete the repairs and bring it back within 28 days for a 100% free recheck.

⚠️ Upcoming NZTA Rule Changes & Tyre Penalties
The New Zealand Government has confirmed major updates to light vehicle inspections rolling out from 1 November 2026:
  • Longer Gaps Between WoFs: 6-monthly inspections are ending. Older vehicles move to an annual cycle, and many newer vehicles (4 to 14 years old) will only require a WoF every 2 years.
  • Massive Fine Increases: Because vehicles will be inspected less frequently, police roadside enforcement is tightening. The standard fine for non-compliant or bald tyres is skyrocketing from $150 to $350 per tyre (with court fines up to $1,000).
